What is therapy and how does it help?
Psychotherapy is the therapeutic treatment of mental issues and illness provided by a trained mental health professional. It explores thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and seeks to improve your well-being. Therapy helps to provide the best chance to recover motivation, perspective, and joy of life.
And don't ever feel you are alone... around one in four people will develop at least one mental illness during their lifetime. It is perfectly normal.
We like to be totally transparent and share with you that after therapy, especially during the beginning of your work with a therapist you may feel worse. But don't worry - it can be a sign of progress. As weird as it may sound, feeling bad during therapy can be good.
